Beskrivelse
“I think what we demonstrate is the value of staying put. Modern society is full of people rushing from one place to the next, one job to the next, even one family to the next. But we are able to stay put, and I think there is something that is attractive about that, because so many people are rootless.” Anonymous monk, “The Architecture of Stability”, R.D.G. Irvine In the world of movement, stability has been found in the monastery, the ritual that is standing still, the pause, the micro world where time passes by slowly, the place for the ones who love the dark and know the moon, who listen to the birds sing and watch the wind in the grass on a hill, for the ones who are seeking a source of stability in the midst of the turbulent void and who are there with one purpose only. A certain movement still exists, but as a breathing, constant and expected. Essential.
