Rognaldsvåg Sea Cabins is a decentralized inn for fishing tourists, located in a small village at the west coast of Norway named Rognaldsvåg. The project reuses empty sites along the coastline, which has previously hosted for boat houses and fishing shanties. The cabins are located in three different situations in the landscape; the quayside, the rocky hillside and the bay. The project is looking at how these various situations can be expressed through architecture in three new types of cabins. The design is influenced by the boat and its dimensions. As in the traditional sea house you enter the cabins from the sea. It has been important to keep a sensitive approach to the landscape through the design, as the project is situated in an area usually prohibited for reasons of conservation.nb_NO
