This project explores the physical space of our close environment, as a scene for contemplation, observation and imagination. It aims at opening a window into a more intimate way of experiencing our surroundings, revealing hidden layers of places, in their pacuiliarities, stories and quiet poetics. Through this diploma i have been exploring and developing different location based experiences and interactions, finding ways of telling a different story about place, and utilizing sound as a way of adding new layer of feeling at spesific sites. My mission has been to bring about natural, tactile and multi sensual experiences, with the digital as a tool. I have intended to open up for experiences that differ from the digital everyday and to facilitate for discoveries in the real world that connects us to present and our the physical space. The foundational problem statement of the project has been : How can digital tools be used a way of connecting us more to our physical surroundings and open up for slower, more intimate experiences in our cityscape?
