Beskrivelse
This investigation begins with a simple question: How can a structure be designed to outlive its initial purpose? If a structure is to find relevance beyond the program it is first constructed for, qualitative aspects must outweigh quantitative criteria.
If the container is to outlive its contents, perhaps it must truly belong to the context it is situated within. This is easier said than done, especially in areas undergoing rapid development where past, present and future contexts stand at odds with each other.
This diploma investigates the possibility of a robust and resilient architecture, constructed of and for its context, and designed to succeed its initial purpose.
