Beskrivelse
BLINK is an explorative design project about opportunities in digital reading that rethinks ways of interacting with digital text for better comprehension.
Textual information has been central to human knowledge consumption. Today, the ubiquitous influence of digital technology, such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops, represents a profound shift in how we absorb knowledge- through digital interfaces. As AI gets integrated into interfac-es, what if it could support the reading comprehension process in extremely fluid ways? The pro-ject followed a possibility-driven process led by explorations anchored in themes such as spatial perception, anticipation, memory, navigation, typography and semantics.
The deliverables are based on the explorations, reviews and testing. It is not a specific product but a digital function or tool which can be integrated within texts like copy, autocorrect etc.
‘Summary’ is an opportunity in digital reading that can change our interaction with text and support our comprehension process. The preferred context was boiled down to a few scenarios that communicate the usage. The overarching goal was to bring moments of clarity to readers in the “Blink” of an eye.
