dc.description | The project is a museum for acoustical instruments. It offers an architectural walk through a series of varied exhibition spaces that exist within a unifying construction. The project’s intention has been to tackle the need to structure the site; to make a circulation in the museum that allows for different ways to see both instruments and surroundings, while at the same time offering indoor and outdoor spaces with the potential for extended use. The concrete structure protects the interior and exterior spaces from the noise of the trafficked surroundings. The structure also solves how the building meets the complicated ground, and provides the backbone for the spatial organization. Within the structure the instruments and their sound can be rearranged, played and listened to. | nb_NO |
